Tour Overview
The historic city of Gloucester has been an important English settlement for over two thousand years. The Romans really put it on the map when they built a fortress overlooking the River Severn at Kingsholm (where the rugby stadium now stands) around 50AD. Back then, Gloucester was known as Glevum. This tour takes in some fascinating historic locations within the city’s old Roman boundaries.
