26 Westgate Street
Blink and you’ll miss it! This superb sixteenth century townhouse is truly one of Gloucester’s hidden gems.
Like many other buildings in Westgate Street, number 26 had its street elevation remodelled in the early nineteenth century. However it’s a different story down the narrow alleyway (Maverdine Lane) to the right of the building where a stunning 16C four storey house, complete with oriel windows & some original glass is revealed. Unfortunately this is currently closed off to the public.
